Christmas Card to Make You Tear Up

hellbrain:

Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone,

in a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone.

I had come down the chimney with presents to give,

and to see just who in this home did live.

I looked all about, a strange sight I did see,

no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.

No…

starting on a journey

I started this Tumblr blog and Facebook page to encourage any military/Army wives out there to speak up and share their stories. There are many wives out there that don’t have to motivation to make a change in their lives, or feel better about themselves, even if they are a great and beautiful person. This shouldn’t be the case anymore. I want to share the lives of others to help our fellow wives. So I’ll start with my story.

My husband and I have had our up’s and down’s but there has been no end of support from him. He has always trusted in my ability to do what I need to do and let’s me do it. I pursued my Bachelor’s degree, got it, and now I have a successful career doing something I love. I wake up every morning having the confidence to trust my own abilities and get through tough work situations. Even a crappy day will be better tomorrow. I wasn’t always this way. I never thought I’d do anything remotely worth while, especially when I almost failed out of my last semester of college due to excessive partying. (C’mon we all have a little fun.) But you can do it, with kids, with family, with money issues, you can push through and become what you want to be.

About

So many stereotypes plague the Army wife community. Some may be true, heck you may even exemplify one of these so called "bad" traits, but that doesn't mean you're wrong or bad.

If you're a stay-at-home mom, raise your kids sister. If you work multiple jobs and are career oriented, that's just as great! The point is that we are all different but we share one common bond, a significant other or husband in the Army.

Please share your empowering stories by using the "Submit" link at the top of the page. Help other wives find their courage today.

    what's with all the hate?!?

The worse stuff is from people who are judging other SOs.

Really? REALLY? You bitch and moan about how they don’t...
